Kota Ibushi On Konosuke Takeshita: He’s An Imitation Of Me

Kota Ibushi takes a shot at Konosuke Takeshita.

At AEW Double or Nothing, Takeshita turned heel by helping the Blackpool Combat Club defeat The Elite (Kenny Omega, The Young Bucks, and Hangman Page) in an Anarchy in the Arena match.

Speaking with Dark Puroresu Flowsion, Ibushi, Omega’s friend and former Golden Lovers tag team partner, shared his thoughts on Takeshita following AEW Double or Nothing.

“I never thought he was that great,” Ibushi said. “He is a made imitation of me. Also, he never respected me.”

After AEW Double or Nothing went off the air, Omega cut a promo and teased that he has friends outside of AEW that could help even the odds against Blackpool Combat Club. Click here to see what he had to say.

Ibushi entered free agency after his NJPW contract expired earlier in 2023. He has expressed his interest in wrestling for AEW multiple times. The former IWGP World Heavyweight Champion previously noted that he hoped to be in contact with AEW CEO Tony Khan soon.
