Liv Morgan Said She’d ‘Probably Be Out For Another Four Weeks’ Before WWE Return

Liv Morgan‘s return was ahead of schedule.

Morgan missed some time with an injury, as she hurt her shoulder in a match where she and Raquel Rodriguez faced Bayley and Dakota Kai on the May 12 episode of WWE SmackDown. Morgan and Rodriguez were then forced to relinquish the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships. Rond Rousey and Shayna Baszler went on to win the vacant titles.

On the June 23 episode of WWE SmackDown, Baszler and Rousey beat NXT Women’s Tag Team Champions Isla Dawn and Alba Fyre to become the Undisputed WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship. After the match, Morgan made her return by confronting the champions alongside Rodriguez.

Speaking with Denette Wilford for The Toronto Sun prior to her return, Morgan discussed her injury.

“It’s my first injury so I was definitely very dramatic in the beginning,” Morgan said. “I’m not used to being hurt, I’m not used to taking time off, but I’m trying to be grateful for this time off and enjoy it while I have it because once we get going, it never stops.”

In the interview, Morgan noted that she would “probably be out for another four weeks,” though she returned well ahead of schedule on the June 23 episode of WWE SmackDown.

Morgan and Rodriguez will challenge Baszler and Rousey for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship. WrestleZone will have coverage of the show as it airs on July 1.
