AEW Dynamite viewership saw an increase on July 5.
According to Wrestlenomics, 855,000 viewers watched the show on Wednesday night, and it drew a 0.29 rating in the 18 to 49 demographic. The viewership was up from last week’s episode, when 809,000 viewers tuned in. The demo also rose from last week‘s episode, which drew a 0.24 rating in the same demographic.
The July 5 episode of AEW Dynamite ranked first in the demographic on cable.
This week’s show kicked off with Orange Cassidy and Darby Allin defeating Keith Lee and Swerve Strickland in a Blind Eliminator Tag Team Tournament match. In the main event, despite outside interference from Don Callis and Konosuke Takeshita, Kenny Omega defeated Wheeler Yuta. Following the main event, Omega was jumped by Takeshita and Claudio Castagnoli until The Young Bucks and Hangman Page came out to make the save.
AEW CEO Tony Khan commented on Dynamite leading cable/satellite in a tweet.
