WWE has confirmed the first official segment for RAW this week. Shinsuke Nakamura will be addressing the audience following the events of the last week when he shocked the WWE Universe with a heel turn.
WWE posted on their website indicating that Nakamura will explain his reason for the heel turn, particularly his attack on Seth Rollins and why he did it. Nakamura teamed up with Rollins and Cody Rhodes last week to secure victory against The Judgment Day in a six-man tag team match. After the match, Nakamura caught Rollins off guard with an unexpected Kinshasa strike, marking his transition to a heel character.
Initially, the plan was for Sami Zayn to partner with Rollins and Rhodes in the match. However, Zayn’s involvement was halted due to an elbow injury sustained during a backstage altercation involving JD McDonagh. Nakamura, having already won against Bronson Reed earlier that evening, volunteered to take Zayn’s place and participate in the match.
It would appear that the working plan is for Shinsuke Nakamura to be the next challenger for the World Heavyweight Title currently held by Seth Rollins. The full updated lineup for RAW can be seen below.
