Lio Rush Talks Rehabbing From Injuries, Comments On His Schedule With IMPACT

Lio Rush describes how he’s focused on taking care of his body.

The IMPACT X-Division Champion has been out of action due to an injury since July 22. However, he will compete at the All Star Junior Festival on August 19.

Speaking on Paltrocast With Darren Paltrowitz, Rush was asked to describe the physical therapy he does.

“Slow and steady wins the race, but I never stop moving,” Lio Rush said. “A lot of care goes into taking care of my body now. A lot of rehab, a lot of therapy, a lot of cryotherapy. I’m actually gonna train in this ring and then go head on to cryotherapy after this. So I gotta keep up with my body, I gotta keep up with my nutrition. I’m very particular and strict about what I put in my body. Those two play a huge part in me being able to do what I do today.

Rush was also asked whether he is on all of the upcoming shows on IMPACT’s schedule. He stated that he plans to be at the shows, as he currently holds the gold.

“As of right now. That’s what it looks like,” Lio Rush said. “New York is coming up. We’ve got Toronto coming up. We’ve got Philly coming up. I would imagine, if I’m the champion, I will be there, and I would imagine I will be the champion. So we’ll see.”
