MJF Retains AEW World Title, Hugs It Out With Adam Cole At AEW All In

MJF retained the gold at AEW All In, and he also retained his friendship with Adam Cole.

The Zero Hour ahead of the pay-per-view kicked off with Cole and MJF defeating Aussie Open to win the ROH World Tag Team Championship. Despite plenty of tension between MJF and Cole leading into the match, they operated like a well-oiled machine and emerged victorious.

The two friends then headlined AEW All In, as MJF defended the AEW World Championship against Cole in a thrilling main event. They battled it out in a thrilling match that put their friendship to the test. As the match began, both men put their “Better Than You Bay Bay” shirt on as a sign of their bond. But throughout the match, both men bent the rules and teased turning on the other.

At one point, MJF went for a Tombstone on the broadcast table, but he couldn’t go through with it, as he didn’t want to hurt his friend. But Cole wasn’t held back, as he dropped MJF with a Tombstone on the table. They continued to wage war and trade near falls. In the thrilling conclusion to the initial stretch of the match, the two stars hit their Double Clothesline on each other, and they pinned each other, so the match ended in a draw.

Cole demanded five more minutes, but MJF told him that wasn’t enough, as they would keep going until there was a winner. The match continued to heat up from there. The duo tried to out-cheat each other when the referee got knocked down, as Cole pretended he got hit with a chair, while MJF wrapped it around his neck. They kept going back and forth, and the referee got knocked down again.

MJF went to use the Dynamite Diamond Ring, but he couldn’t go through with it. Roderick Strong showed up and kicked MJF below the belt.

Strong then gave Cole the world title and told him to use it, as he claimed to be Adam’s best friend. Cole took his “Better Than You Bay Bay” shirt off, but he didn’t use the title. MJF then rolled Cole up to win the match and retain the title.

MJF consoled Cole after the match and said they still gave their tag titles. Cole threw his away, and MJF got heated, as he claimed that Cole was never his friend, and he only cared about the world title.

He told Cole to take it and hit him with it. Cole almost did, but he couldn’t go through with it. He dropped the title and hugged it out with MJF. The two friends celebrated together as the show came to a close.
