Drew McIntyre comments on CM Punk‘s potential return to WWE.
AEW terminated former AEW World Champion CM Punk on September 2 after he was involved in a backstage incident with Jack Perry at AEW All In. Punk previously had a remarkable run in WWE, as he became a six-time world champion with the company before he walked out in 2014. Punk returned to wrestling with his AEW debut in 2021, and he had a controversial tenure. Now that he is a free agent, fans continue to speculate about his potential WWE return.
Speaking with Riju Dasgupta for Sportskeeda, McIntyre was asked about potentially mixing it up with CM Punk if he came back to WWE.
“I mean, I don’t make those decisions,” Drew McIntyre said. “I watch what I say in interviews. But he’s certainly controversial, and he gets people talking. So I’ll leave it on that.”

Zelina Vega Explains Why She’d Like CM Punk To Make A WWE Return
Zelina Vega also shared her thoughts on CM Punk potentially returning to WWE. Speaking with Newsday, Vega was asked whether she would like to see CM Punk back in WWE.
“Would it be great to see him again? Absolutely,” Zelina Vega said. “I don’t know much about his situation with AEW, but I have always had a fantastic relationship with CM Punk. You hear all these things about him. I am so big on not listening to other people’s experiences, the dirt sheets, all that crap. He’s always been a fantastic person. There’s layers to people.
“And when people are just so hung up on the outer layers of what a person can be, you get stuck there. And if you want to stay there, that’s great. But when you get to know the core of a person, that’s where I like to hang out. To me, Punk’s been nothing but great. So will the ‘X’ be meaning putting an ‘X’ on Dominik’s face, and CM Punk? It absolutely can be, because, I’m a big supporter of him. And he’s always been that way for me.”
Fans will have to wait and see what the future holds for CM Punk.
