Edge Makes AEW Debut At WrestleDream

Edge is Elite!

Adam Copeland has arrived in All Elite Wrestling, making his debut at the conclusion of the WrestleDream pay-per-view in Seattle.

Christian Cage retained the TNT Championship over Darby Allin, but he won in shocking fashion as Nick Wayne aligned with him. Wayne attacked Darby Allin and helped Christian win the match, and they tried to attack Allin after the match. Sting came down to help, but Luchasaurus joined Cage and Wayne and ended up beating him down.

Christian set up for a Con-chair-to on Sting, but he was interrupted by a video that said “Our Feature Presentation”. A car was shown racing through the streets, then Edge walked into the arena accompanied by his “Metalingus” theme song.

Edge was given a chair to finish the job, but he ended up hitting Wayne with it. He then took out Luchasaurus while Christian ran up the ramp, and the two former friends stared at each other as the show ended.

You Think You Know Him

It should be noted that Edge will be going by his real name, Adam Copeland, in All Elite Wrestling. Excalibur specifically called him Adam Copeland during the broadcast, and Tony Khan confirmed Copeland was Elite after the show.

Other things to note are that his “You think you know me” intro has been re-recorded to say “You think you know him.” According to a report from Fightful (via Fightful Select), Copeland is able to use “Metalingus” by Alter Bridge because it was maintained that WWE did not have exclusive licensing rights to the song.
