Sami Zayn is reportedly taking some time away from WWE.
In the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer reported that Sami Zayn asked for time off recently, and WWE granted the request. However, Meltzer noted that there was no word on when the time off would begin. Per Meltzer, Zayn is not scheduled for the December 28 live event in Laval, Quebec, which would typically feature Zayn.
The report comes after an apparent injury angle on the December 4 episode of WWE RAW. There, Drew McIntyre seemingly took Zayn out with a backstage attack after their match.
