Rey Mysterio and Eddie Guerrero famously battled for custody of Dominik in a Ladder Match at WWE SummerSlam 2025. Mysterio won the match, and years later, Dominik turned on him and joined Judgment Day. The duo reignited their feud ahead of WrestleMania 40, and they clashed again at the show.
Speaking with BWGS Pod ahead of WWE WrestleMania 40, Rey Mysterio was asked whether a part of him regretted winning custody of Dominik in the ladder match against Eddie Guerrero.
“That’s a very good question that I have never been asked. Now that I think about it, I wouldn’t have even had that match. I would have told Eddie to keep him. Keep him, I don’t want to risk my body. The way Dominik turned out after that….But I also ask myself, what would have happened if Eddie would still be here?
“This whole story that has been created…I think Dominik watched a lot of his stuff. Somehow there’s some sort of internal connection, and I wouldn’t doubt that Eddie’s giving him pointers from the heavens.”
Rey Mysterio and Andrade beat Dominik and Santos Escobar at WWE WrestleMania 40. Dominik is sey to face Andrade on the April 15 episode of WWE RAW.
