Tessa Blanchard Ripped For Her ‘Not Taking Accountability’ On TNA Impact

Tessa Blanchard has a problem with being accountable, according to Indi Hartwell.

Hartwell made the remark on Thursday’s episode of TNA Impact after she confronted Blanchard about their confrontation the week prior. Hartwell told her not to act dumb about what happened before, then asked if they had an issue.

“Do you want to start something with me?” Hartwell asked.

“I don’t want to start anything with you,” Blanchard replied.

“There we go, classic Tessa, not taking accountability,” Hartwell quipped.

Blanchard then reminded Hartwell that they had history together, including Tessa helping Indi climb the ladder in the United States wrestling scene. Indi said she used to believe in a Tessa that wanted to help everyone, but now, Tessa is “proving everyone right.”

Blanchard looked back with disgust, shook her head, and walked away to end the segment.

What is the significance of the accountability remark?

Tessa Blanchard returned to TNA in December 2024 at Final Resolution. This was her first appearance in TNA since 2020, when her contract was terminated by the promotion. TNA reportedly fired Blanchard, the reigning TNA World Champion at the time, due to her refusal to show at scheduled appearances. The end of Blanchard’s tenure was also marred by allegations of bullying and racism. Blanchard reportedly called La Rosa Negra a racist slur, an incident that was witnessed by multiple female wrestlers.

Blanchard made amends with La Rosa Negra in 2023. However, she has continued to deny the allegations. Many wrestling fans have not forgiven Blanchard, largely in part due to her repeated denials and lack of accountability for the incident.

During her latest run, some crowds have responded negatively and chanted “She’s a racist” at Blanchard. TNA has attempted to capitalize on the negative attention Blanchard has gotten by positioning her as a heel. TNA also introduced an “I Hate Tessa” t-shirt.

More recently, fans took issue with TNA referring to Blanchard as “Diamante,” which is the trademarked name of a current AEW / former TNA star.
