Nikki Bella says she is changing how she approaches requests at meet-and-greet sessions after a recent photo went viral for the wrong reasons.
The latest episode of the Nikki and Brie show saw the Bella Twins discussing a prom pose photo that went viral over SummerSlam weekend in New Jersey. Brie mentioned Nikki’s Fanatics photo that went viral because of the “suggestive” pose they did.
“Where it looks like I’m getting pounded from behind? Is that even appropriate to say?” Nikki replied.
Nikki and Brie joked about the incident, with Brie questioning how Nikki allowed the fan to “hold her so tight from behind.”
“OK, well I do feel like from now on, there’s going to be a ‘no prom pose’ rule” after this photo,” Nikki said. “But I will say he had an incredible story. He asked very politely about doing a prom photo. I’ve done it a bunch. You guys, I didn’t feel anything, it wasn’t like — it never felt inappropriate. It didn’t feel like what the photo looks like.”
Brie joked the fan did a “pelvic thrust” as they were taking the photo, but Nikki said it might have been his posture. Nikki also said she was wearing baggy pants, and sometimes photos just look distorted. If she did feel uncomfortable in the moment, she would have contacted her on-site rep to handle the situation.
Nikki said the fan had a really sweet story about being a fan of theirs, but she admitted that she second-guessed the photo once she saw it. Here’s the photo in question:
During his meet-and-greet session, Lema told Nikki that he was a fan since he was 7 years old. He also thanked her for her “Fearless” moniker being a source of inspiration.
