Will Ospreay appeared tonight on AEW Dynamite, and laid out a big challenge for the upcoming AEW x NJPW: Forbidden Door.
During Wednesday’s episode of Dynamite, Ospreay appeared to chase off the Death Riders. The group had come down to join Jon Moxley, who had beat Kevin Knight in singles action. As the group ambushed Knight, Ospreay came running down to the ring to help Knight out.
After taking to the microphone, Ospreay invited them to a Lights Out Steel Cage Match at Forbidden Door. Later in the show, Ospreay also revealed that Hiroshi Tanahashi would join him in the match as his partner.
Even later in the show, AEW confirmed the full match would include Darby Allin, Kenny Omega, Kota Ibushi, Tanahashi, and Ospreay facing off against the Death Riders, Gabe Kidd, and the Young Bucks.
AEW x NJPW: Forbidden Door will take place on August 24, 2025, at The O2 Arena in London, England. So far, the fully updated card for the event is as follows:
