Jason Baker says it warms his heart to see how much care is being put into honoring Bray Wyatt’s legacy the right way.
Baker recently spoke with WrestleZone about the Wyatt Sicks installment at Halloween Horror Nights. WWE teamed with Universal Studios to create a Wyatt Sicks house at the movie studio’s Orlando and Hollywood theme parks. Baker said it was surreal seeing it for himself, but highlighted why it was also a bittersweet experience.
“Oh, it’s amazing. I went to the Los Angeles one,” Baker explained. “It was surreal. It was very bittersweet because Bray Wyatt was my best friend. And just the fact that he’s not here to get to see this is very, very sad and very heartbreaking. But at the same time, it’s amazing just to see the company and WWE pay this amazing tribute to Bray and to his work and to his creativity and to his genius, and to do something that is so unique, that is in the world of like Universal.”
Jason Baker is honored to see the Wyatt Sicks carry on Bray’s legacy
Baker, a special effects makeup artist who created some of the Wyatt Family’s iconic looks, said Universal Studios is the pinnacle of the horror genre. It literally is, as the studio created the classic monsters that inspired it.
“That is where Frankenstein, Bela Lugosi’s Dracula, the Wolfman, the Mummy and Creature from the Black Lagoon, and all those things started with Universal. So the fact that Universal saw this thing that Bray was doing and that we were doing and wanted to pay tribute to him, is such an honor. It’s such an honor to see his brother Bo take it and just run with it and keep it going with the Wyatt Sicks with Rowan, Dexter, [Gacy] and Nikki.
“I think his legacy is in really good hands. It’s been really cool. The outreach from the fans and how much support I’ve heard from people and how excited they are to see it, is so heartwarming. It’s so wonderful seeing how much love there is for Windham, who was such a lovable person. So it really warms my heart.”
