Mickie James’ TNA Hall Of Fame Inductor Revealed

Mickie James has revealed who will induct her into the TNA Hall of Fame.

The former five-time Knockouts World Champion was confirmed as the first inductee into the TNA Hall of Fame last month. She will receive the honor on Sunday, October 12, as part of the Bound For Glory weekend in Lowell, Massachusetts.

During a recent appearance on Velvet Ropes with SoCal Val, James was asked about the rumors surrounding her Hall of Fame inductor. She went on to confirm that she has chosen fellow former WWE and TNA superstar Lisa Marie Varon (aka Victoria/Tara) for the honor.

“You’re going to be pleased with this as someone who was pretty synonymous with the whole in production of hardcore country,” Mickie said. “I think that we made some incredible, historic moments together, and that would be our dear friend, Lisa Marie. I’ve asked her.”

Mickie revealed that she had texted TNA management about her choice and was waiting for their official confirmation, only to discover that Tommy Dreamer had already informed Tara about her decision.

“The next day, who do I have a five minute like, voice note from bawling, like, sweet Lisa,” James said. “I wanted to call you… wanted to FaceTime you. I was waiting for Tommy to respond to me!” [H/T WrestlingNewsCo]

Mickie James and Tara had a storied rivalry in TNA Wrestling during the Hogan-Bischoff era. The two headlined TNA iMPACT episode #335 inside a steel cage. The closing moments of the match saw James hit a Lou Thesz Press from the top of the cage to secure the win.
