Tessa Blanchard weighs in on the TNA departures of Tommy Dreamer and Sami Callihan.
This week, TNA Wrestling announced a “workforce reduction” which resulted in the exits of talent and backstage officials, including Tessa Blanchard, Tommy Dreamer, and Sami Callihan.
Dreamer announced his own departure on Busted Open Radio, while Sami Callihan reacted after reports about his status had surfaced online.
Blanchard has since extended praise to her fellow departees, whom she worked with behind the scenes in TNA Wrestling.
“One of the most unique minds in all of wrestling.. nobody can do what he does. Any company would be lucky to have @TheSamiCallihan,” Blanchard wrote on X, “& @THETOMMYDREAMER is someone who has always believed in his people. I am so grateful to have shared the ring and worked with him.”
In recent years, Callihan served as a producer and agent for TNA. Recent reports indicated that many in-ring talents pushed for his addition to the TNA creative team. According to Callihan himself, he even expected to receive a call about the potential creative transition. Instead, he’s parted ways with the company.
In Dreamer’s case, he had worked in TNA’s Creative and Talent Relations departments, while occasionally wrestling for the promotion as well. Former WWE executive Brian “Road Dogg” James had reportedly been discussed as a potential replacement for Dreamer’s position in TNA.
A former TNA Knockouts and World Champion, Blanchard had returned to TNA in December 2024. She claims that when given the choice, she chose to remain in CMLL over TNA.
