An injured star made a surprise appearance at TNA Bound For Glory.
TNA presented the 2025 edition of Bound For Glory from Lowell, Massachusetts, on October 12. During the show, Chris Bey made a surprise appearance to announce the attendance for the company’s biggest event of the year.
According to the announcement, Bound For Glory drew 7,794 fans, marking a new North American attendance record for TNA. The previous record was held by TNA Slammiversary, which drew 7,623 fans.
Chris Bey hasn’t competed in a TNA ring since suffering a neck injury that left him temporarily paralyzed at the October 27, 2024, iMPACT taping. He later underwent neck and spinal fusion surgery and discussed the incident during a 2025 interview with Chris Van Vliet.
“First time [we wrestled The Hardys], we didn’t have a lot of time. This time we had more time, so we were all confident and comfortable with what we were doing. I’m in there with my best friend and two of my idols, it’s a night off essentially, and then a spot that you’ve done a million times up until this point goes wrong,” Bey said. “As soon as it goes wrong, you don’t notice what’s wrong, you just know something isn’t right. I felt a jolt. It was a neck breaker. We missed each other, Matt and I, by an inch. I felt a jolt, and I felt a little bit of discomfort.”
