LuFisto: The Original Name Of ‘The Devil’s Kiss’ Was Not Very PG

Stephanie Vaquer has become synonymous with the “Devil’s Kiss” move, but LuFisto implied that the original name for it would never have been approved in WWE.

The Devil’s Kiss is a repeated headscissors slam on the mat (or ladder). It’s one of Stephanie Vaquer’s signature moves, and it’s popular with the WWE Universe. Booker T’s funny antics on commentary also helped get it over with the NXT fanbase.

However, like many other moves in pro wrestling, it was previously used in the past, although it didn’t have the same level of notoriety that Vaquer’s does.

LuFisto shared a throwback photo of her performing the move in a hardcore match against Mickie Knuckles. LuFisto joked that the name for her variation of the move, the “Skull Fuck,” and the match itself, were “not very PG.”

Throwback from 2007 against the absolute bad ass @KnucklesMickie with what is now known as ” The Devil’s kiss”. Its original name, the Skull Fuck, was not very PG,” LuFisto wrote on Twitter/X. “This match was also not very PG. ?”

Stephanie Vaquer says she added the Devil’s Kiss to her arsenal by accident

Vaquer previously said she came up with it by accident. She recently told Chris Van Vliet that it was just something she was trying out in training.

“It was an accident. I was trying something with my trainer and the position changed. I liked it because it doesn’t hurt the neck like a DDT, so I decided to keep it. At first, many in Mexico told me it looked weird and not to do it, but I persisted. Now look at it, it’s a great move.”

Stephanie Vaquer recently defeated IYO SKY to win the vacant WWE Women’s World Championship at Wrestlepalooza. As champion, she competed at Crown Jewel against Tiffany Stratton for the Women’s Crown Jewel Championship.
