Former WWE Star Reacts To Rumor Eddie Guerrero Canceled a Title Win for Him & John Cena

Former WWE star Bull Buchanan has shut down the long-standing rumor that Eddie Guerrero refused to let him and John Cena win during their tag team feud.

After John Cena’s debut, his career started slowly, but things changed when he introduced his Doctor of Thuganomics gimmick. Around that time, Cena teamed up with B2, played by Bull Buchanan and the duo began a feud with Los Guerreros the team of Eddie and Chavo Guerrero on WWE SmackDown.

However, a rumor claimed that WWE once planned for John Cena and Bull Buchanan to win the WWE Tag Team Titles from Los Guerreros. But the plan was reportedly canceled as Eddie Guerrero didn’t want to put over Buchanan.

During an interview with 99.9 Punk World Radio FM’s Elite Wrestle Talk, Buchanan cleared up the story. He said he never heard about Guerrero refusing to lose. “I saw that, I honestly don’t know, I always thought we had good matches with Eddie and Chavo. I had heard a rumour, you hear so much stuff you never know, I heard that there was some talk of maybe putting the Tag belts, but it was because we were working a program with Chavo and Eddie, so if you’re working a program with somebody, there’s always speculation, but I don’t know.”

He also said he and Eddie always got along well and never had any personal issues. “I’ve seen that, I don’t know, maybe if someone knows more than I do, but I always thought we had good matches with them. I never, me and Eddie never had any cross words or anything like that, we were always pretty cool, so, somebody might know more than I do, but as far as I know no.” [H/T: Wrestletalk]
