WWE Hall of Famer Bully Ray said he wants Rhea Ripley to be featured in the WrestleMania 42 teaser.
Earlier this week, WWE finally ended days of speculation by revealing the meaning behind its cryptic teaser clips. WWE released a new trailer and poster for WrestleMania 42, featuring Cody Rhodes, Roman Reigns, CM Punk and Brock Lesnar playing poker, while Triple H and Paul Heyman stood nearby.
However, fans were quick to notice that no women were featured in the teaser, despite how much WWE’s female stars have contributed to the company’s success. Many fans voiced their disappointment on social media.
WWE Hall of Famer, Bully Ray responded to the backlash and shared a creative idea to include Rhea Ripley. On Busted Open Radio, he said WWE could release a follow-up commercial where the men are still playing poker.
However, a door slams, and a woman sits at the table. The camera would then pan up to reveal Rhea Ripley. He said, “I would love to see a follow-up commercial where they’re at the table playing poker. You hear a door slam, and you see a female sit down. And all you hear is, ‘Deal me in boys.’ The camera pans up, and it’s Rhea Ripley.
“I think people would love that. Almost like a ‘to be continued’ from the first commercial. And that would make sense for that one stack of chips that’s sitting there that is not being represented by anybody.”
“Now, I get it, the stack of chips could be there just to bring some extra color to the poster, or something. But, why would there be an extra stack of chips at the poker table? I don’t think Heyman’s playing. I don’t think Hunter’s playing. That one spot could be for somebody. Maybe it’s for Rhea, we’ll see.” [H/T: Wrestletalk]
