Did Rusev really refuse to lose matches when he competed at Miro in AEW?
WWE Superstar Rusev was a recent guest on SHAK Wrestling. When it was brought up that he’s lost more matches since being back in WWE than he did his entire time in AEW, it was asked if he wanted to respond to the rumors that he didn’t want to lose matches in AEW. Rusev offered an interesting response.
“There’s a lot of rumors out there,” Rusev began. “But the problem is those rumors are spread by one person, by these so-called dirt sheets, and they have no evidence, no proof, right? They can just go out there, run a story, and nothing can be traced back to them. Oh, I heard, I saw — so it’s just clearly, if you judge this by this run, obviously doesn’t make any sense.
“Clearly, when I lost to Sammy Guevara, the title that didn’t make any sense. When I lost to Daniel Bryan right after that, that didn’t make any sense. When I lost to whoever. So let the people go back and review whatever I’ve done, and we’ll talk about that.
Rusev believes losing is part of the business
“But also, you know, losing now, it’s just part of the business, man. Not everybody just wins every week. And like I said, I’ve had in the past year before I came back to WWE, I had only one match, one match in one year. And that was in Qatar, like a little bit before I came back. So there was a little rust there.”
