Becky Lynch didn’t hold back after losing the Women’s Intercontinental Title on WWE RAW at Madison Square Garden.
Maxxine Dupri shocked the fans by winning the championship after AJ Lee suddenly returned and distracted Becky Lynch. The distraction gave Dupri a opening to hit a top-rope crossbody and score the upset. Lynch was furious and immediately claimed the match result was invalid.
Triple H congratulated Maxxine Dupri on X formerly known Twitter, saying her first title win over a multi-time world champion at Madison Square Garden was a massive achievement. He praised the moment and celebrated her success.
Lynch responded by retweeting him and claimed the match result should be protested. She wrote, “Three letters: NML. No. Managers. License. In the state of New York that is governed by the state athletic commission, a managers license must be attained for interfering parties to be allowed at ringside. Therefore, hence, vis a vis, the outcome of this title match, which has been clearly rigged, is hereby under protest. You will be hearing from my lawyer imminently. The changing of the side plates will result in a lawsuit.”
She continued her rant in a backstage video with Xavier Woods and Kofi Kingston, once again calling out AJ Lee for breaking athletic commission rules. She argued that in New York, anyone coming through the curtain must be verified by the athletic commission, and since AJ Lee wasn’t verified, the match was clearly rigged.
Both Woods and Kingston supported her again, assuring her that he and his team were behind her all the way.
