An update on TNA‘s television deal.
For months, TNA Wrestling has been in discussions for a new television deal, with Director of Authority Santino Marella believing it would establish TNA as the number two professional wrestling company in the world. AMC, a TV network known for premium cable shows such as Breaking Bad and Mad Men, later emerged as a reported suitor for TNA’s media rights. Given a new teaser from AMC that still appears to be the case.
On Monday night, AMC posted a 10-second clip of buzzing crowd noises, followed by the date January 15, 2026. That day, of course, falls on a Thursday, which lines up with the regular weekly broadcast date for TNA Impact programming.
According to Jon Alba of the Takedown on SI, sources within the television and wrestling industries believe that TNA programming is at least in part, though possibly fully, heading to AMC Networks in 2026.
Since 2019, wrestling fans in the United States have accessed TNA IMPACT through the Anthem-owned AXS TV channel, with the TNA+ app as an additional streaming option. Prior to this potential deal with TNA, AMC had no prior connections to wrestling or WWE, the current multi-year partner of TNA.
Back in early October, TNA President Carlos Silva described negotiations as equivalent to a football game where “we are probably on the 30-yard line, getting ready to score.”
WrestleZone will provide information on TNA’s reported television rights deal as it becomes available.
UPDATE: TNA has officially announced a new TV deal with AMC, which includes a slight name change for Impact! and a new timeslot.
