Roman Reigns Acknowledges One Wrestler Better Than Him

Roman Reigns acknowledges…someone else?

For years, Roman Reigns has called for the WWE Universe to acknowledge him. This week, he’s flipping the script.

While signing photographs with Fanatics, a partner of WWE, Reigns was challenged to stop his marker when he heard a pro wrestler that is better than himself. Names such as Bronson Reed, Seth Rollins, Bron Breakker, LA Knight, Drew McIntyre, and Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes left “The OTC” unfazed. Upon the mention of “The Nature Boy” Ric Flair, however, Reigns lifted his marked as a sign of respect.

Flair, a 16-time world champion under the WWE banner, has since responded to Reigns’ gesture, recognizing it as a great honor.

“Thank You For The Respect @WWERomanReigns!” Flair wrote on X. “This Has To Be The Biggest Compliment I’ve Received In Years.”

After nearly 50 years as a performer, Flair officially retired from in-ring competition in 2022. He is a two-time WWE Hall of Famer, having been inducted individually in 2008, then as a member of the Four Horsemen in 2012.

With a reign of 1,316 days, Reigns remains the longest reigning world champion in WWE’s modern era. He most recently competed at WWE Survivor Series: WarGames, where he, Rhodes, CM Punk, Jey Uso, and Jimmy Uso lost to the likes of Bron Breakker, Bronson Reed, Drew McIntyre, Logan Paul, and Brock Lesnar.

As of now, Reigns’ next moves have yet to be seen, though he’s made it clear that he is keen on adding another world championship to his resume.
