WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event will reportedly see the return of a legend.
According to WrestleVotes, Jesse “The Body” Ventura is scheduled to return at the Peacock special this weekend in Washington, D.C.
“After not appearing at the last Saturday Night’s Main Event, Jesse ‘The Body’ Ventura is set for Washington, D.C. this weekend as the big John Cena send-off show approaches,” WrestleVotes stated.
The report did not confirm if Jesse Ventura will be back on commentary as he was for the May 24 edition of SNME. Ventura infamously buried the ending to the Drew McIntyre versus Damian Priest match, which saw the Archer of Infamy walk out of the cage door to defeat the Scottish Warrior.
While reports indicated WWE laughed off Ventura’s brand of commentary, his absence from the last Saturday Night’s Main Event suggested some heat between management and “The Body.”
WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event Card
WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event will be headlined by John Cena versus Gunther in what will mark Cena’s retirement from in-ring action. The Ring General earned the opportunity to face the GOAT by winning The Last Time Is Now Tournament.
Also set for the night is a major cross-promotional match featuring TNA’s Leon Slater as he teams up with NXT’s Je’Von Evans against WWE World Tag Team Champions AJ Styles and Dragon Lee.

- WWE Champion Cody Rhodes vs. NXT Champion Oba Femi
- Bayley vs. Sol Ruca
- World Tag Team Champions AJ Styles and Dragon Lee vs. Je’Von Evans and TNA X-Division Champion Leon Slater
