Update On Donald Trump and Vince McMahon Attending John Cena Retirement Match — Report

WWE expects John Cena’s retirement match to be a star-studded affair. However, it remains to be seen if Donald Trump and Vince McMahon will be there.

PWInsider.com is reporting that WWE expects several Hall of Famers at the event. One name that is confirmed to be in the area is Trish Stratus. 

In regard to the rumors about Donald Trump and Vince McMahon showing up, WWE sources claim that neither one has been confirmed as attending. Trump will be at the Army vs. Navy game earlier in the day, but no one has specifically confirmed that Trump would attend Cena’s last match. As for McMahon, a source claimed that you never know with Vince, but said Linda McMahon would be more likely.

In addition, it was noted that due to the event taking place in Washington, D.C., WWE expects other names from the political arena to attend, as well as A&E executives.

John Cena will face Gunther in his retirement match at Saturday Night’s Main Event. The show takes place at the Capital One Arena in Washington, D.C. In addition to that bout, the following matches have been confirmed for the card:

  • Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes vs. NXT Champion Oba Femi
  • World Tag Team Champions AJ Styles & Dragon Lee vs. Je’Von Evans & TNA X Division Champion Leon Slater
  • Bayley vs. Sol Ruca
