The Miz has heaped praise on rising WWE star Je’Von Evans, saying the young standout has everything needed to become a major name in the company.
Speaking on Insight with Chris Van Vliet, The Miz talked about Evans’ potential and explained why he believes the 21-year-old could define the next generation of WWE stars. “I was with Je’Von Evans and I was like — no one really knows him, right? Like, people know him, NXT, you know who he is. But the masses don’t know who he is.”
He pointed to Evans’ natural presence and charisma as key strengths. “So we have to really make this kid, because he’s special. He truly is. If you’ve watched him and you feel his energy, the kid has an infectious smile. He’s got charisma, he’s got the ability — and he’s young. He’s young.”
The Miz also stressed how high Evans’ ceiling could be in just a few years.

“I was like, ‘Man, this kid’s 21? Imagine what he’s going to be like when he’s 25.’ He might be bored because he’s so good at this age. I was like, man, if this kid can keep elevating himself, keep getting bigger, keep just focusing, locking in, don’t mess up, don’t get injured. This kid can be something really special in this business.”
The Miz’s praise comes after the two shared the ring on the December 12 episode of WWE SmackDown, where Evans scored what commentary called the biggest win of his career by defeating The Miz. The match clearly left a strong impression on the veteran.
Since then, Evans has officially moved up to the WWE RAW roster after being called up from WWE NXT. He continued to build momentum on the main roster, picking up a win over Bravo Americano in his WWE RAW debut on Netflix.
