Top AEW Name Reveals His Post-Wrestling Career Plans

It seems that Will Ospreay has found a new post-wrestling career.

AEW star Will Ospreay recently reacted to a viral clip featuring a game in the Balloon World Cup. The game involves players keeping a balloon from hitting the ground while they navigate around various obstacles. In this clip, featuring Peru versus Germany, the players attempt to keep a balloon in the air while running around a Volkswagen ID.4 electric vehicle.

“Here is what I’ll be doing post wrestling,” Ospreay wrote on Twitter/X.

Ospreay’s comment was in jest, but he actually has commented on his post-wrestling career plans before. Ospreay told Chris Van Vliet that he wants to become a UK postman after he retires from the ring.

“As soon as I’m done with AEW, I’m being a postman. I’ll have my house paid off, my mom’s house paid off, my dad’s house paid off. I’m just going to be ‘Alright, that’s me, I’m done, going to be a postman for the Royal Mail.’ I would love that, mate. I would flipping love that,” Ospreay said. “That ambition of just being like, ‘I’m done. I’m going to be a postman.’ [And I’ll] just go stroke people’s dogs. Let’s go, ‘here’s your post.’”

During an appearance on Hey! (EW), Ospreay’s partner, Alex Windsor, said that the Aerial Assassin was serious about becoming a postman. More specifically, he wants to work for the Royal Mail, the British postal service that was founded back in 1516.

When will Will Ospreay return to AEW?

Will Ospreay is currently sidelined after having surgery to repair a neck injury. Ospreay is expected to return in 2026, although an exact timeline is still unknown. During a recent interview on Unlikely with Adrian Hernandez, AEW’s Tony Khan definitively said that Ospreay would be back in AEW this year.

“Will Osprey is recovering from serious neck injuries,” Khan said. “I’m very grateful that Will Osprey is in AEW. And I’m also very grateful that he’s recovering and he will be back in 2026. I can’t say exactly when, but I can tell you that in 2026, he will be back.”
