Major Flaw In WWE Royal Rumble Logic Pointed Out By Fan

Fans are calling out WWE over a major plot hole ahead of the 2026 Royal Rumble.

The January 26 episode of WWE RAW featured a backstage segment between Finn Bálor and Adam Pearce. Bálor declared for the Men’s Royal Rumble, only for Pearce to inform him that the field was already set.

Later in the night, Finn Bálor ruined the World Heavyweight Championship main event between CM Punk and AJ Styles. The former Universal Champion hit a running dropkick on Punk against the barricade before capping off the attack with three Coup de Grâce.

As for Adam Pearce claiming the Royal Rumble lineup is complete, a fan on X pointed out a major flaw in the logic. X user @johndauria6 posted a screenshot of what appears to be the Wikipedia page for the 2026 Royal Rumble, noting that Pearce’s statement was far from the truth.

“HOW IS THE RUMBLE FULL!?!? THERE IS ONLY 14 PEOPLE IN THE RUMBLE DECLARED. #WWERaw”

WWE still has SmackDown and NXT to fill out the lineup, as well as the potential for a surprise (or two, or three…) But with 16 spots still unannounced, it’s almost easy to see why Balor would be upset.

The announced lineup so far includes Cody Rhodes, Gunther, Roman Reigns, and Jacob Fatu. Rey Mysterio also declared for the over-the-top-rope event, but his status remains uncertain following the reported injury he suffered on RAW last night.
