AEW star Kenny Omega claps back at critics who think he sucks at promos.
Wrestling fans hail former AEW and IWGP Heavyweight Champion Kenny Omega as one of the best pro wrestlers of all time. However, he has faced some criticism over his promos. Speaking during a past Twitch stream, The Cleaner addressed those critics and explained he has his own way of telling stories and that he doesn’t care about their opinions.
“You’re trying to talk about a guy who sold out 45,000 seaters with my storytelling? You’re trying to tell me I don’t know how to tell stories? Because I don’t have the yelling promo voice?” Kenny Omega said.
“Then, you’re going to say The Rock sold more. Yeah, he did, he’s The damn Rock. But I’m not fuc*ing bad myself! When I want to tell stories, and I have a way to tell it, I will tell it in my way. That’s all there is to it.
“Maybe something that I’ve done isn’t exciting, or if my American-style promos just aren’t doing it for you, well, I got news for you: Because I don’t care,” Kenny Omega said.

Kenny Omega names the current ace of AEW
During a recent conversation with NJPW president Hiroshi Tanahashi in NJPW World, Kenny Omega shared his honest thoughts about who he believes is the current ace of All Elite Wrestling. Omega named Hangman Page without hesitation, hailing him for his versatility and character.
He said, “No! Definitely not me. I’d say Hangman. He’s a great guy, and he can wrestle all kinds of styles. AEW is an American company, but we showcase a lot of different styles. There’s some lucha, some Strong Style, deathmatch as well. Hangman’s deathmatches have been scary. But he’s been able to work that style. He can handle anything, and he’s a genuinely great guy.
