Cody Rhodes says he thought about getting a Samoan tattoo after the infamous WWE press conference with Jey Uso.
One-half of the reigning WWE World Tag Team Champions, Jey Uso, was a recent guest on Cody Rhodes’ What Do You Wanna Talk About podcast. During the conversation, they looked back at their infamous Fastlane 2023 press conference in which both of them were very drunk.
Cody Rhodes and Jey Uso became the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Champions at the event. Rhodes recounted his desire to get a Samoan tattoo after Uso mentioned that he never held a title with someone other than his brother, Jimmy Uso. The former WWE Champion was thankful that the Usos laughed it off when he brought up the topic of getting the tattoo.
Cody Rhodes also recalled someone sending him a video of the traditional Samoan tattoo process, which is more painful than the usual ones.
“I don’t know if you (Jey Uso) remember how bad I was. This is how bad I was. This is rough, and it’s probably in a group thread with your brother. I wrote to you guys, ‘Do any white guys ever get a Samoan tattoo?’ When you said the thing about, ‘I’ve never won a belt with anyone other than my brother,’ I was like, ‘Oh, dude, I want to be his brother.’ I’m glad because you guys just laughed it off. And then I think somebody sent me a YouTube video. I was like, ‘Okay, that’s not… I got you,’” Cody Rhodes said. [H/T WrestlePurists]
