TNA iMPACT Results

Former TNA World Champion Moose heads to the ring for a promo segment. It has been three weeks since the big man was kicked out of The System. Moose says he is not complaining about his former friends turning their backs on him because he is not a b*tch. He does not call himself the face of the franchise for nothing. Moose says he has gone through the highest of highs and the lowest of lows. He adds that he created The System and knows how to destroy it.

The former TNA World Champion then calls out the man in the locker room who has the blueprint to take on The System. We then hear the music as Mike Santana emerges through the crowd. Santana listens closely to what Moose has to say. He recalls their tumultuous history before putting over Moose as his partner against The System. Moose then calls for The Hardys to come out and join them, as commentary teases an early start to eight-man tag team match.

TNA Director of Operations Daria Rae interrupts. She accuses Santino of running a circus around her before threatening the two men standing in the ring with consequences if they do not leave immediately.

We hear from Ryan Nemeth

Gia Miller asks Ryan Nemeth for his thoughts ahead of his Albuquerque Street Fight against Mara Sade. Nemeth wonders how many times is too many times that Sade has taken him out with a superkick. He claims he was impaled by a dart but promises to humiliate Sade in front of her family, friends, and the viewers watching TNA iMPACT on AMC tonight.

Another TNA contract coming up

Moose is backstage when Alisha Edwards shows up. Edwards says she feels caught in the middle between The System and Moose. She adds that her contract is coming up and she is not in the best mental health, so it seems like the right time to step away from The System. Moose thanks her for supporting him all these years but says he cannot lose focus on The System.

Rich Swann vs. Nic Nemeth

  • The finish of the match saw Nic Nemeth catch Rich Swann midair and hit the Danger Zone for the win.

Winner: Nic Nemeth

Grade: B-

Good action involving both men. Swann apparently mistimed the flip, or that would have been awesome. Nemeth seems to have made a habit of hitting the Danger Zone midair. Yes, it looks cool, but do not overdo it.

We hear from Indi Hartwell and Xia Brookside

Xia Brookside and Indi Hartwell hype up TNA No Surrender. Brookside sounds confident in her tag team partner Lei Ying Lee ahead of the Knockouts World Championship match tomorrow night.

She then tells Indi they may be in contention for the tag team titles, as Indi pinned M by Elegance and Brookside pinned Heather by Elegance. The two leave to speak with matchmakers about a potential tag team title opportunity at No Surrender.

The Righteous are excited to team with The Hardys. Vincent and Dutch are full of praise for Matthew and Brother Nero and even refer to themselves as the “DieHardys.” Vincent says it would be an honor to stand side by side with The Hardys tomorrow at No Surrender.

Dutch ends the promo by dropping another tease about the possible arrival of more members of The Righteous.

The World Class Maniac strikes again

Eric Young is in the ring. Young begins his promo but is met with “What?” chants from the crowd. EY teases the arrival of The Cleanse before calling out BDE, whom he told last week had a decision to make. BDE arrives to a decent pop.

EY says the people may like BDE, but he does not understand the hype. He asks the content creator turned pro wrestler to pick a side: either stand with the villains, the puppets, and the politicians, or join him. BDE says he understands that there are people willing to stab you in the back to get to the top. Eric responds that it proves he is right, but BDE stands up for himself and is met with a right hand.

EY stomps on BDE and sets him up for a piledriver, but officials rush to the ring to calm him down. Young still hits the move on BDE and exits the ring, only to return and attempt another piledriver. Security arrives and tries to talk some sense into him. EY shoves a referee and plants a security guard with a piledriver. He leaves the ring and threatens fans at ringside before taking out another security guard with a piledriver on the concrete as the chaotic segment comes to a close.

We return from commercial, and Eric Young is still laying hands on security. Santino Marella shows up and tells Eric that he is suspended, but Daria Rae calls off the decision.

Daria tells Santino that the call came from above: Eric Young will be in a match against BDE at TNA No Surrender. Santino points out that EY is supposed to be suspended, but Daria refuses to budge.

Mara Sadé vs. Ryan Nemeth – Albuquerque Street Fight

  • The finish of the match saw Mara Sade hit Ryan Nemeth with a superkick for the win.

Winner: Mara Sade

Grade: C+

This was… something. I don’t think I’ve ever seen anyone get suplexed into lollipops before. Ryan Nemeth has one of the most punchable faces of any wrestler this writer has seen. That said, credit to him for an incredible sell job throughout the match. Hopefully, this bout marks a decisive conclusion to their feud.

We hear from Mance Warner and Steph De Lander. Steph reintroduces herself to the AMC viewers, while Warner puts the TNA locker room on notice, warning that sooner or later, someone will find out why they call him the Southern Psycho.

Elijah issues a challenge to Mustafa Ali

A video promo featuring Elijah airs. Elijah calls himself a man of God before ominously hinting that he may be God himself. His voice echoes as he vows to put an end to his rivalry with Mustafa Ali in a Guitar Case Casket Match in Nashville, Tennessee.

TNA No Surrender Card

  • Knockouts Battle Royal – Winner earns a future shot at the Knockouts World Title
  • Lei Ying Lee (c) vs. Arianna Grace – Knockouts World Title Match
  • The Elegance Brand (c) vs. Xia Brookside & Indi Hartwell – Knockouts Tag Team Title Match
  • Stacks (c) vs. Trey Miguel – TNA International Championship Match
  • BDE vs. Eric Young
  • The Hardys & The Righteous vs. Order 4
  • Mike Santana & Leon Slater vs. Eddie Edwards & Nic Nemeth

Arianna’s got the cobra

Arianna Grace is ecstatic after Santino Marella got her a Knockouts World Championship match against Lei Ying Lee at No Surrender. She hugs her father — only to pull the cobra from his pocket, teasing another betrayal down the line.

The Hardys, Mike Santana & Moose vs. The System

  • The finish of the match saw Bear Bronson drive Jeff Hardy head-first into the canvas for the win.

Winners: The System

Grade: A-

This was a war. Eddie Edwards got bloodied after being buried under bodies during the pinfall save attempt, which made for a striking visual. Bear Bronson fits perfectly with The System. They prevailed to close out the go-home episode of TNA iMPACT ahead of No Surrender.

Overall Grade: B-

For a go-home show, this was underwhelming, except for the opening and final matches and the chaos involving Eric Young. But then again, No Surrender is more of a filler PPV, so that isn’t necessarily a bad thing. Rich Swann vs. Nic Nemeth was a solid opening match — this writer really wants to see Swann challenge for singles gold. The Albuquerque Street Fight was “mid,” as MJF would say. I really enjoyed the Eric Young and BDE segment — if only the crowd had quieted down with the “what” chants!
