Matt Hardy reacts to WWE WrestleMania 42 ticket prices.
WWE is returning to Las Vegas for the second consecutive year to showcase the biggest PLE of the year. WrestleMania 42 will take place at Allegiant Stadium on April 18 and 19. The venue previously hosted WrestleMania 41 on April 19 and 20, 2025.
Speaking on a recent episode of The Extreme Life of Matt Hardy podcast, the one-half of the TNA World Tag Team Champions shared his thoughts on WrestleMania ticket prices. Hardy noted that while WrestleMania 41 pulled record numbers for WWE, the company might face challenges selling out the venue for a second consecutive year due to current economic conditions.
“It’s a tough sell, too. Vegas was so good last year, and you know, they did these record numbers, and I guess they bid for them to come back, right? But, but it’s tough to go into the market two years back-to-back. And those tickets are pricey, you know, and we’re not still economically, especially since the pandemic, it’s kind of been, you know, a roller coaster ride for everyone.
“It’s hard to justify spending that much money on tickets for entertainment. You know that isn’t something that you have to have in your every single day life to survive and live and be okay. So it’s a tough sell. But I mean, they’re confident, I guess they can do it for another year straight, and I guess when it’s all said and done, by the time we get to WrestleMania, we’ll see if they were right or not,” Matt Hardy said. Reports suggest WrestleMania 42 ticket prices are currently about 19% lower than they were for WrestleMania 41. WWE reportedly held a meeting to develop strategies to boost ticket sales, which was followed by Allegiant Stadium offering a limited-time ticket discount.
