The back-and-forth between AJ Lee and Becky Lynch is heating up before WWE Elimination Chamber 2026. The trash talk has been intense, but there is also some respect between them.
Their current rivalry took root last year in September when AJ Lee returned after Lynch repeatedly targeted CM Punk. Then Lee and Punk defeated Lynch and Seth Rollins in a mixed tag team match at Wrestlepalooza.
Then again, Lee distracted Lynch during a match against Maxxine Dupri, which caused The Man to lose her Women’s Intercontinental Championship.
At Survivor Series: WarGames, Lee’s team won over Becky’s team again. Now, both are scheduled to face each other for the Women’s Intercontinental Championship on February 28, 2026.
AJ Lee Shows Respect to Becky Lynch Ahead of Elimination Chamber Showdown
During an appearance on ESPN’s Unsportsmanlike, AJ Lee spoke honestly about how she feels about Lynch. She admitted that she admires her.
Lee said she believes she was the best of her generation, and she sees Lynch as the best of hers. For her, this match is about testing herself. She respects Lynch, but she also wants to prove she can still win, even if that means beating “her pretty little face in.”
“I love me some Becky, I feel like it is admiration, we’re very, very similar. I know I’m the best of my generation, I know she’s the best of her’s. So it’s just sort of a morbid fascination of ‘Can I beat the best? Can I show that I can still go?’ So I love her, and I respect her, and I want to beat her pretty little face in,” Lee said.
