Swerve Strickland vs. Brody King Set For AEW Revolution After Brutal Dynamite Attack

AEW added another heated matchup to its upcoming pay-per-view this week, as tensions between Swerve Strickland and Brody King escalated during the March 4 episode of AEW Dynamite.

The confrontation didn’t start as a match announcement — but it quickly turned into one after a violent in-ring incident.

King initially entered the ring with a microphone, calling out Strickland and daring him to prove who the most dangerous man in AEW really is.

Instead of an immediate face-to-face meeting, Prince Nana appeared first on the stage, questioning whether King truly wanted to confront Strickland.

What followed was less a conversation and more a message — delivered in unmistakably brutal fashion.

Steel Chain Attack Escalates Swerve Strickland and Brody King Rivalry

Before Swerve Strickland even walked to the ring, he appeared from behind and blindsided King with a sudden attack. The ambush began with Strickland laying King out and quickly escalating the assault using a steel chain.

Strickland wrapped the chain around King’s neck and tightened the hold, choking him while dragging him around the ring. The situation grew even more dangerous when Strickland looped the chain over the top rope and stepped outside the ring, pulling back to intensify the choke.

In wrestling terms, this wasn’t just trash talk — it was chain reaction violence.

During the attack, Strickland mocked King while delivering his warning, declaring that the AEW roster should take notice of what he was capable of doing. He also made it clear that the confrontation would not end on Dynamite.

Strickland announced he would see King again in Los Angeles at AEW Revolution, which takes place March 15 at the Crypto.com Arena.

The assault finally ended when Bandido rushed out to stop the attack, prompting Strickland to retreat after sending his message.

With the match now set, AEW has officially added another intense rivalry to the Revolution card. Given how Dynamite unfolded, the upcoming showdown between Strickland and King could be less about strategy and more about survival.
