Logan Paul Plans To Sue People Who Call Him A Scammer

Logan Paul has had enough of people calling him a scammer.

Appearing on The Iced Coffee Hour, the WWE Superstar addressed allegations that he is a scammer, seemingly reacting to the heavy criticism he faced over his failed NFT project, CryptoZoo.

“Any inclination that I’m a scammer is patently false. Unfortunately, I’m in a position where the only way to prove that is in a courtroom, which I intend to do sooner rather than later. I’m actually looking forward to it, because online, a lot of false narratives can be spun up and people end up believing them,” Paul said.

He also claimed that while some of his projects did not work out, his intentions were pure. In his view, a scam requires a deliberate plan to deceive. Paul instead sees the situation as a disruptive idea that simply failed to succeed.

“The businesses I build are never started with anything but the best intentions. I’d like to make it abundantly clear that I’m not chasing money. I like building things, and money just happens to be a byproduct of what I create. I’m good at making it, but I’m even better at spending it.”

Logan Paul says YouTube clickbaits don’t carry the weight of law

“I enjoy building things that are disruptive, fun, and useful. Sometimes they work out and sometimes they don’t. I think there’s a misconception that when something doesn’t work out in a business setting, it means you had bad intentions. That’s not the case.

“Especially now, when things can easily be turned into clickbait or a YouTube thumbnail. People can make tons of videos about you to enrich themselves and get attention. Honestly, go ahead and do that if you want. Get that bread. But when you lie over and over again, video after video, time and time again, and you know you’re lying, eventually you may find yourself being held accountable,” he said.

In 2021, Logan Paul heavily co-promoted CryptoZoo, an NFT breeding game that raised millions but never fully launched. Investors retaliated with a class-action lawsuit that dragged on for nearly two years before it was dismissed due to a lack of sufficient evidence.
