Dominik Mysterio recently stated that he doesn’t like Canadians, except for WWE Hall of Famer Trish Stratus.
Since turning heel in WWE, Mysterio has received heavy boos from fans around the world. His actions and attitude have also drawn criticism from several WWE Hall of Famers. Despite the backlash, Mysterio continues to play his villain role and has even claimed many times that he is the greatest Mysterio of all time.
However, he still shows respect for one WWE Hall of Famer Trish Stratus.
Dominik Mysterio Jokes About Canadians During Interview
During an interview with Brad Gilmore on The Collection, Mysterio was asked about the reputation of Canadian wrestlers in the industry. While answering the question, he made a joke about Canadians. He said, “Man, I hate Canadians and Canada. Yeah, I just hate all of Canada and Canadians… for the exception of Trish Stratus, of course.”
In June 2025, he also gained attention on social media after sharing a side-by-side photo. The post showed an old picture of Stratus holding him as a child next to a recreated version of the same pose in the present.
