WATCH: Tatum Paxley Dragged Under Ramp After Steel Cage Win on WWE NXT

The March 17, 2026, episode of WWE NXT ended in a shocking way. Tatum Paxley kept her Women’s North American Championship, but moments later, she was dragged under the entrance ramp by a former holder of the title.

Paxley faced Izzi Dame in a Steel Cage Match in the main event of the episode. There was no way to escape, so the match could only end by pinfall or submission. Both wrestlers had to take a lot of punishment inside the cage.

Dame came close to winning a few times. She also used the steel chair to beat Paxley and tried to finish the match with a powerbomb into the cage. But Paxley didn’t give up. The match turned when Tatum Paxley used the chair to her advantage and followed it up with a Rolling Koppo Kick. Later, Paxley hit her finisher and got the win.

It was Paxley’s first title defense, and her reign reached 11 days. But her celebration didn’t last long.

WWE Revisits Old-School Horror-Style Spot on NXT Involving Tatum Paxley

As Paxley stood on the entrance ramp showing off her title, a hidden trap door opened, and Monroe came out from the bottom. She pulled Paxley’s legs and dragged her under the entrance ramp.

Monroe then came back up, holding the championship and posing as the show ended. It reminded me of the times when Kane and The Undertaker used to drag their opponents under the ring in a terrifying way.

Her return makes things more interesting heading into Stand & Deliver. Monroe, who has been a former champion, still wants the title she feels she never truly lost. Her earlier loss, which involved a controversial moment, has been a big reason behind her actions.

Monroe lost the Women’s North American Championship to Thea Hail earlier when she failed to kick out after the second count. Since then, the title has changed hands from Hail to Paxley, after the latter won it at Vengeance Day.

Now, with Monroe back, Paxley faces a serious challenge. If this attack is any sign, their feud could play a big role as the NXT Stand & Deliver approaches.
