The March 20, 2026 episode of WWE SmackDown had quite a surprising moment as Jade Cargill got unexpected help while attacking Rhea Ripley, possibly changing things ahead of WrestleMania 42.
Earlier in the segment, Cargill came out and, without wasting any time, called Ripley to the ring to talk face-to-face.
Ripley came out right away, and the two had a heated face-off. Cargill boldly said she doesn’t need the title, wrestling, or even the fans to prove herself. She mocked Ripley, saying Ripley had to fight hard to stay relevant, while she had always been “that b*tch” no matter what.
Ripley fired back strongly. She admitted that wrestling means everything to her and talked about the hard work she put in to reach the top. When Cargill tried to make things personal with a comment about Iyo Sky, Ripley shut her down and made it clear she wouldn’t accept any disrespect.
The tension kept rising. Ripley said that even if Cargill holds the title, she is the one who gives it real value. She made it clear she plans to win the title at WrestleMania and even dared Cargill to take the first shot. But Cargill refused and walked away, saying, “On my time.”
Then things took a shocking turn.
Jade Cargill Gains Backup In Surprise SmackDown Segment
Out of nowhere, B-Fab and “Michin” Mia Yim came walking to the ring. Initially, it looked like they were there to attack Cargill.
However, surprisingly, they teamed up with Cargill and attacked Ripley.
The attack was quick and brutal. Although Ripley tried to attack first, Yim hit Mami back with a kendo stick. B-Fab and Yim then held Ripley while Cargill hit a kick and then finished her with the Jaded.
This was surprising because Cargill had earlier “injured” both B-Fab and Yim, according to a report from PWInsider. B-Fab suffered a concussion during the WWE Holiday Tour and Michin suffered a shoulder injury.
Now, they are suddenly on her side, which makes things even more interesting.
With WrestleMania 42 coming up, Ripley now has a bigger problem. What was supposed to be a one-on-one match could turn into a tough situation with multiple opponents.
