WWE‘s Logan Paul has “apologized” for his actions in the recent Fanatics flag football game.
After being originally planned to take place in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, the Fanatics Flag Football Classic was moved to BMO Stadium in Los Angeles, California, due to prevailing tensions in the area. The event featured three teams: the Founders, co-captained by legends Tom Brady and Jalen Hurts, the Wildcats, led by young quarterbacks Joe Burrow and Jayden Daniels, and the Team USA National squad.
Wrestling fans looked forward to the tournament after the war of words between Logan Paul and Tom Brady, who called WWE “cute.” Paul was part of the Wildcats, and when his team faced off against Brady’s Founders, the Maverick made his presence felt. His performance included a “sack” on Jalen Hurts and deflecting a pass that led to an interception for his team.
There was also a moment when Tom Brady threw the ball straight at Logan Paul.
In the end, Logan Paul’s team prevailed over Tom Brady’s team, defeating them 34–26. Paul then gloated over the victory on his X/Twitter, posting, “I beat Tom Brady.” Brady’s Founders didn’t win a single game, and Paul’s team ended up losing to Team USA in the championship game.
Logan Paul offered a very sarcastic apology after the game
After the event, Paul posted a video on X/Twitter, giving a sarcastic apology for his actions during the game.
“I’d like to take this opportunity to apologize for some of my actions in yesterday’s flag football game,” Logan Paul began. “First, I want to apologize to the United States flag football team for taking Doucette’s glasses off of his face and throwing them at the ground. That happened because after he scored a touchdown, he kind of got in my grill and said to me, ‘Welcome to flag football,’ which upset me because it’s comments like that that I just can’t tolerate.
“Second, I’d like to apologize to Jalen Hurts for sacking you and later deflecting a pass that then got intercepted by my team, allowing us to score on the very next possession. If you get traded or your contract gets cut down, now we know why, and it’s probably pretty embarrassing, so I am sorry,” Logan Paul said.
“And of course, I’d like to apologize to Tom Brady for applying so much pressure on you play after play after play that had you literally fearing for your life,” Logan Paul said. “I understand you’re older. It’s not like you could go anywhere, and you got frustrated, which is why you threw the ball at me. And I want you to know that I forgive you for that, because that’s what real men do.
“And lastly, I want to apologize to everyone that said that I was not a great athlete. Because you all look stupid as hell right now. Thank you,” Logan Paul concluded.
Tom Brady praised Paul after the game
Despite their differences, Tom Brady hugged Logan Paul after the game and told him that he did good. The Maverick then hilariously responded, saying, “I did great.” However, Brady had to correct him by reaffirming that he did “good,” not “great.”
Tom Brady then actually praised Logan Paul in the post-game press conference, saying he impressed him.
“I’ll say this, he impressed me out there. Some of the coaches that were coaching him said how seriously he was taking it, and how he just wanted to learn and be a sponge to go out there and do a great job. There’s a little tit-for-tat stuff, but I do have respect for people that are really driven to succeed. I’m a firm believer that you don’t wait for things to happen. You make it happen. And if you want positive things to happen in your life, you go for it, and you’re fearless. You don’t settle for a backup plan. He really displayed that today,” Tom Brady said about Logan Paul.
