WWE Hall of Famer Reveals Disturbing Bathroom Encounter At WrestleMania 42

Another WWE Hall of Famer has opened up about an unsettling interaction at WrestleMania 42.

Reports have recently emerged about fans harassing WWE talent during WrestleMania weekend. Former World Heavyweight Champion CM Punk got into an altercation with a fan who was recording Bayley and AJ Lee without their consent.

Video footage posted by TMZ Sports captured Punk slapping the phone out of the person’s hand. The incident reportedly occurred after the fan filmed Bayley hugging AJ Lee at the WWE talent hotel in Las Vegas.

TMZ also reported that the fan, who wishes to remain anonymous, is not looking to sue or press charges against Punk. He said he understands Punk may have been in a bad mood after losing at WrestleMania, but is asking for an apology.

Sean Waltman on disturbing fan interaction at WWE WrestleMania 42

WWE Hall of Famer Sean Waltman (aka X-Pac) recently recalled a similar encounter. Reacting to TMZ’s footage of the CM Punk incident, Waltman said he was physically assaulted and stalked in a bathroom.

That guy & all the rest like him can get fucked. It was insane how these people were. I got physically assaulted & camera shoved in my face, stalked in the bathroom, & more,” he posted.

After a user on X tried defending the fan who filmed Bayley and AJ Lee, Waltman responded that while he doesn’t have a problem with fans taking pictures or recording videos in public, he draws the line at invasions of personal space.

“I don’t have a problem w people taking pictures or recording in public. It’s when you invade someone’s space, stick cameras in peoples faces, I have a problem with that.”

Waltman’s comments come shortly after fellow WWE Hall of Famer Booker T shared a similar experience from WrestleMania 42 week. Booker claimed he was mobbed by fans and even had someone film him inside a bathroom, calling for better security measures .

The back-to-back accounts from veterans of the business underline a growing concern around fan behavior during major events. While fan interaction is part of the wrestling experience, there is a clear line that should not be crossed. Respecting personal space and privacy is essential, and moments like these serve as a reminder that performers are not public property. Fans can show their support without invading boundaries or acting as if they have unrestricted access to talent at all times.
