WWE Legend Mark Henry Warns Against Rushing Talent With ‘Hot Beer’ Analogy

Jade Cargill recently saw her WWE Women’s Championship reign end, and even though it’s over, Mark Henry praised her recently, and explained why it’s better she took some time to become a champion.

When Cargill first debuted with WWE, many believed she would be an immediate success. However, the star took some time before she began her championship climb. When she eventually did become champion, fans were still negative to her, something that Mark Henry praised recently.

Speaking to TJR Wrestling in a recent interview, Henry said Cargill did a great job, and likened rushing her status as a fan-favorite would be bad.

“I thought that she did a great job. She takes a lot of critical, uh, negativity from people because she is still young, and you have to let things play out in wrestling,” said Henry. “If you rush it, it’s like drinking hot beer. Maybe you like hot beer, but most of the people that I know, they like it really cold. I’m a guy that chews ice. I love ice, I chew it. Make it sound. It makes some people crazy. But I don’t expect everybody to love that, you know?

“And that’s the thing that I feel like Jade has been able to do is…she’s been able to mask the sound of ice crushing or going through a window. She’s mastered it. So now we just all got to sit back and watch elite wrestling for the next forseeable future.”

For now, Cargill will be trying to get back in the title picture, and look to take back her belt from Rhea Ripley, who beat her at WrestleMania 42 to re-capture the belt.
