Seth Rollins has responded to Bron Breakker’s recent training video ahead of their clash at WWE Backlash.
During an appearance on ESPN First Take, Rollins was asked about Breakker bench pressing more than 400 pounds in a video where The Vision’s main man also questioned whether Rollins even has a gym membership.
The former WWE World Heavyweight Champion admitted he was impressed by the footage but made it clear that experience matters more than raw strength.
“You know what? I saw the video. I saw some of the clips. I got to admit, it was pretty good. It was pretty good. And I believe he believes what he’s saying.
“But at the end of the day, I put in a lot of sweat equity. And at some point, kid, Breakker, the bell’s got to ring. And my experience is light years ahead of where you’re at. So when you get a win on me, then you can talk your game. Otherwise, bench pressing ain’t going to do nothing for you, my friend.”
Rollins went on to praise Breakker’s athleticism, calling him a complete talent with strength, speed, and agility, but argued that younger stars often struggle when matches become physically and mentally exhausting.
Seth Rollins reveals his biggest advantage against Bron Breakker
According to Rollins, his biggest advantage comes from years of experience handling adversity in high-pressure situations.
“You know, the thing is with these young guns, they’re coming in, they’re flashes in the pan, and they’ve got a lot of energy, right? And there is a certain amount of suffering that us old hats learned to deal with. We learned to understand that there’s going to be some suffering along the way.
“But when push comes to shove, this kid’s going to make a mistake. He’s got to prove that he’s ready. He’s the one who’s got to level up to where I’m at. I’m already at the top, and I’ve been at the top for a long time. And I’ve proven myself time and time again.”
Rollins concluded by saying that while Breakker has all the physical tools to succeed, he believes endurance and composure under pressure will ultimately decide the outcome.
“So I can endure all that he’s got. And he is a hell of an athlete. I’ll give him all the credit in the world. It’s not just the strength. It’s the speed, the agility. He’s got all the tools, but if he gases out, I will be the one that understands what it is to get through the suffering and get to the other side of that. Get in the deep waters, as Skip was saying previously talking about LeBron in the other segment.
“I got the clutch gene, baby. I got that clutch gene in droves. Bron, we’ll find out.”
