Momentum continues to build around Zilla Fatu as the independent standout gains more attention from wrestling veterans and fans alike. Now, former WWE star Matt Morgan has publicly pushed for WWE to bring Umaga’s son into the company sooner rather than later.
Morgan recently posted on X praising Fatu’s recent development on the independent scene and argued that the rising star is already prepared for WWE.
He wrote that Fatu has evolved beyond potential and is now ready for the spotlight, while also tying the conversation to Umaga’s long-discussed Hall of Fame case.
“Cannot wait for the day when WWE signs Zilla Fatu,” Morgan wrote. “Dude is now ready!”
Morgan also called for Umaga — whom friends reportedly called “Eckie” — to finally receive a WWE Hall of Fame induction.
He added that Fatu would be a “massive get” for WWE and pushed for the company to make the move “ASAP.” In wrestling terms, Morgan clearly isn’t waiting for a slow count on this one.
Zilla Fatu says WWE is his preferred destination
Fatu recently addressed his wrestling future during an interview with Bootleg Kev
and made it clear he has no interest in signing with AEW.
According to Fatu, WWE remains where he ultimately wants to be because of both family ties and unfinished business connected to his father’s legacy.
“My heart is with the E right now,” Fatu said, adding that he doesn’t want to “break that cycle” established by his family’s WWE history.
Fatu also explained that his goal is not only to honor Umaga’s legacy, but to create his own identity at the same time.
Over the last several years, he has steadily built his profile through promotions like Reality of Wrestling, where he trained under WWE Hall of Famer Booker T.
With Fatu continuing to gain momentum on the independent scene, speculation about a future WWE signing is only growing louder. Whether that eventually places him alongside members of The Bloodline remains unclear, but the conversation is no longer flying under the radar.
