Former WWE star Ridge Holland, whose real name is Luke Menzies, has officially been cleared to return to wrestling after dealing with several injuries and surgeries over the past few years. The former WWE and NXT star recently shared a major health update with fans on social media.
Last week, Menzies posted a timeline showing the injuries, surgeries, and setbacks he experienced between 2018 and 2026. He revealed that he has now fully recovered from both foot and neck injuries and is ready to return to action.
Menzies also shared his excitement about stepping back into professional wrestling and planning the next chapter of his career.
Luke Menzies set to wrestle for National Wrestling League
Following his recovery update, the National Wrestling League officially announced that Menzies will compete for Team Yorkshire during upcoming events. The company shared the news on X, formerly known as Twitter, writing, “Proud to officially announce that I’m representing TEAM YORKSHIRE for the @NationalWresLg Carrying the toughness and fighting spirit of Yorkshire. I’m coming back to collect everything I’m owed. ? Newcastle — August 9th ? Glasgow — October 10th”
Menzies later reacted to the announcement and made it clear he is motivated for his comeback run and confirmed his appearance in Newcastle on August 9 and Glasgow on October 10. A few days earlier, the National Wrestling League also confirmed that former WWE star Jake Hager, previously known as Jack Swagger in WWE, will appear at the promotion’s Manchester event.
