Jalen Brunson loves that Danhausen.
The New York Knicks won the 2026 NBA Championship, earning the title by going 14-1 over their final 15 games. The win streak started after WWE star Danhausen “uncursed” the team, and the unlikely string of events turned into a big marketing campaign.
The Knicks’ Brunson, Karl-Anthony Towns and Mike Brown appeared on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon on Monday night, and Fallon mentioned Danhausen “uncursing” the Knicks leading the way to the team’s playoff success.
Jalen Brunson admitted that while he was initially suspicious that the WWE star had anything to do with it, he has to believe the WWE star helped in the end.
“Jalen, I know you are a WWE fan,” Fallon said. “Did this have something to do with it as well?”
“At first, I was a little skeptical. But I mean, you have to believe it now,” Brunson said. “You have to believe it now.”
WWE’s Danhausen reacts to Jalen Brunson’s comments
Danhausen reacted to Brunson’s remarks from the show, writing the following on Twitter/X:
“DANHAUSEN KNEW THEY BELIEVED,” he wrote. “Thank you @jalenbrunson1 @KarlTowns and @FallonTonight for confirming Danhausens cursing and uncursing powers to the world.”
The WWE star also marked Fallon safe from curses… for now.
The Knicks’ NBA Championship win was also acknowledged on this week’s episode of WWE RAW, as the Very Nice and Evil One showed a highlight reel of the team’s biggest moments in the playoffs (featuring Danhausen, of course):
