Amazing Red Reacts To TNA Return

For the first time in 15 years, Amazing Red will appear on the TNA Wrestling stage.

TNA broke the news on Monday by announcing Red’s upcoming return at the TNA Slammiversary event. As of this writing, TNA’s specific plans for Red at the event have yet to be revealed. Whatever awaits him though, Red has made it clear that he’s ready to claim it all.

“Before – too young, too scared, too shy… Now – grown, wise, taking what’s mine!” Red wrote on X, reacting to the news of his return. “#ExpectTheUnexpected #Ready.”

Red, a three-time TNA X-Division Champion, last competed under the TNA banner at the 2011 Destination X event. There, he, Alex Shelley, Robbie E, and Shannon Moore battle in an Ultimate X match to determine the new number one contender to the X-Division Championship. Before that, Red had wrestled on pair of TNA Basebrawl live events in New York and New Jersey.

Since leaving TNA in 2011, Red has notably performed in New Japan Pro-Wrestling, House of Glory, and various indie promotions. In HOG, remains a regular fixture, a former HOG Heavyweight Champion, and a co-founder.

The 2026 TNA Slammiverary show will emanate from the Agganis Arena, in Boston, Massachusetts on June 28. Reigning X-Division Champion Cedric Alexander will defend the title in the Slammiversary Ultimate X match featuring himself, Leon Slater, and four competitors still to be named. Slater, the preceding champion, previously cited Red as one of his dream opponents.
