Bad Bunny could be heading back into professional wrestling soon. A recent AAA tease has fans talking once again. WWE Hall of Famer Rey Mysterio also added more fuel to the speculation.
AAA’s July 4 show featured Damian Priest’s surprise arrival. Rey Mysterio had teased a major debut for weeks. He finally introduced Priest during latest edition of AAA this past weekend. Priest is also set for another big AAA match. He will team with R-Truth against The War Raiders.
Rey Mysterio teases Bad Bunny could join AAA
After introducing Damian Priest, Rey Mysterio returned to the commentary desk. He joined Corey Graves and JBL during the broadcast. JBL then asked Rey an interesting question on commentary. He wondered if Bad Bunny could also join AAA. He didn’t dismiss the idea at all, he said, “We’re working on that as well.”
That short comment quickly got fans talking online. Bryan Alvarez later confirmed there was something behind the tease. He said Bad Bunny’s name wasn’t mentioned randomly. It appears AAA has at least discussed the possibility.
Bad Bunny already shares plenty of history with WWE. His last match came at WWE Backlash 2023 in Puerto Rico where he defeated Damian Priest in a brutal Street Fight. Since then, he has not wrestled inside a WWE ring.
Earlier this year, he was also reportedly discussed for WrestleMania 42 match with Logan Paul. However, those plans never ended up happening in the end. Now Priest is part of AAA’s growing roster. Rey Mysterio has also openly mentioned Bad Bunny. It will be interesting to see if AAA eventually brings him in.
