The July 20 episode of WWE RAW featured a mix of comedy and action involving The Judgment Day, Danhausen, Joe Hendry, and Oba Femi. What started as an argument over a stolen bag of money ended with JD McDonagh getting squashed in less than a minute after accidentally upsetting Oba Femi.
The fun backstage story turned into a match after Adam Pearce decided Judgment Day needed to face the consequences of their actions. By the end of the night, Oba Femi had another easy win and sent a message to Brock Lesnar before SummerSlam.
Danhausen’s money trick fools Judgment Day and Oba Femi squashes JD McDonagh
The story began backstage when Judgment Day confronted Danhausen about the bag of “human monies” they had been looking for since SNME. Dominik Mysterio threatened to break Danhausen’s jaw if he didn’t hand over the money, while Liv Morgan spat at him as he walked away.
Later, Danhausen came to the ring carrying an old doctor’s bag. He said he didn’t want to keep the money or give it back to Judgment Day. Instead, he teased giving it away to the fans in Detroit.
Before he could do that, Mysterio, McDonagh, and Morgan came out and demanded the bag. Danhausen tried to escape after putting a “curse” on them, but Judgment Day started attacking him.
Joe Hendry then ran to the ring to help. He threw McDonagh out of the ring and hit Dominik with a fallaway slam. During the chaos, Morgan grabbed the money bag and escaped with Dominik and McDonagh.
Things got even worse for Judgment Day backstage.
The group proudly showed the money bag to Adam Pearce. Danhausen and Hendry interrupted again, saying the story wasn’t over. Pearce told Judgment Day to take the bag and leave.
But when JD McDonagh opened it, he found out that it had no money at all. Danhausen had switched it with fake “Danhausenbucks.” Angry, McDonagh threw the bag away without looking. Unfortunately for him, it hit Oba Femi right in the face as The Ruler was walking past.
Femi asked if the bag belonged to him. McDonagh tried to explain that it was Danhausen’s. However, the damage was already done.
Pearce immediately booked McDonagh to face Femi. When Judgment Day complained, Pearce also announced that Mysterio would face Hendry later in the night.
The match didn’t last long.
Hendry and Danhausen threw Mysterio and McDonagh inside the ring. Oba delivered a double clothesline.
McDonagh then started with some kicks and a chop, but Femi barely reacted. The Ruler then threw McDonagh overhead and took over with powerful uppercuts in the corner. He then lifted McDonagh and hit him with the Fall From Grace powerbomb for the win.
McDonagh was beaten in well under a minute as Oba Femi picked up another dominant win.
After the match, Femi looked at the camera and sent a “no more BS” warning to Brock Lesnar ahead of SummerSlam.
