WWE has confirmed another major segment for next week’s Monday Night RAW, as the road to SummerSlam continues to intensify.
With one of the premium live event’s biggest rivalries nearing its conclusion, two of WWE’s most dominant competitors are set to meet under very different circumstances before they step inside Hell in a Cell.
Whether the confrontation remains civil is another question entirely.
Brock Lesnar and Oba Femi set for SummerSlam weigh-in on WWE RAW
During the July 20 episode of RAW in Detroit, WWE announced that Brock Lesnar and Oba Femi will participate in a live weigh-in on the July 27 SummerSlam go-home edition of RAW from the Intuit Dome in Inglewood, California.
The segment will serve as the final promotional stop before the rivals collide inside Hell in a Cell at SummerSlam.
Their rivalry has been anything but one-sided. Oba Femi stunned the WWE Universe by defeating Lesnar at WrestleMania 42. “The Beast” evened the score by pinning the King of the Ring winner in their rematch at Clash in Italy. With each man holding one victory, SummerSlam will settle the series once and for all.
Given the hostility between the two, the weigh-in could become much more than a simple reading on a scale. Recent weeks have featured low blows, devastating F-5s and Oba Femi dismantling an entire security team, making it difficult to imagine this segment ending without tempers flaring. If history is any guide, the scales may be the only thing that stays balanced.
The July 27 edition of RAW will also feature a face-to-face between Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins ahead of their World Heavyweight Championship clash at SummerSlam.
Elsewhere on the card, Sol Ruca will defend the Women’s Intercontinental Championship against Raquel Rodriguez. The Vision will face Alpha Academy in tag team action. Danhausen will also face off against Dominik Mysterio as tensions boiled over on WWE RAW.
With multiple marquee segments already announced, WWE is stacking the SummerSlam go-home. show as anticipation continues to build toward one of the biggest weekends of the year.
